Animal Protection Society (APS) is a Non- Governmental Organization that is established to rescue and protect stray animals. We primarily focus on rescuing and treating stray animals who are injured or ill and are deprived of medical support.

We are a dedicated organization committed to the rescue and protection of street animals. Situated in the heart of Udaipur, our mission is to provide a safe haven for the vulnerable and voiceless beings that roam our streets.

Taking action for animals isn't just about protecting them; it's about preserving the very essence of our interconnectedness with nature.

Here are some initiatives by the Animal Protection Society (APS) dedicated to our street friends:

👉Rescuing Injured Stray Animals

The fundamental goal of the Animal Protection Society is to rescue the animals in distress by lending them a comforting hand.

We are always available to rescue stray animals in need and mainly focus on those animals who got injured or ill on highways or villages and are deprived of medical assistance.

APS members ensure the safety of the animals in case of any emergency.

👉Dog/Cat Adoptions

We facilitate the adoption of homeless puppies and abandoned dogs so that they can be a part of the family too.

We arrange new homes with loveable families for the street puppies and the abandoned dogs/cats so that they can lead a happy life away from the brutality.

There are many benefits by adopting the street friends:

Adopting a dog or cat provides companionship and unconditional love, enriching your life with their presence.

Studies have shown that owning pets can reduce stress, lower blood pressure, and improve overall mental and physical health.

By adopting from shelters or rescue organizations, you are giving a second chance to animals in need and helping reduce pet overpopulation.

Adoption fees are typically much lower than purchasing from breeders or pet stores, and many pets come already spayed/neutered and vaccinated, saving you money on initial veterinary expenses.

👉Helping Animals in Contingencies

APS celebrates all the festivities by feeding our homeless buddies.

In case of any calamity or extremity, we ensure the safety of our furry friends who are living helplessly on the streets. During these lockdowns, each day we had fed more than 400 street animals including dogs, cats, donkeys, cows, pigs, etc.

👉Awareness Campaigns

APS has taken a step forward to educate the masses about valuing each animal unconditionally through various campaigns.

We organize awareness campaigns and events frequently to carve compassion and humanity amongst the residents to emphasize the significance of safeguarding the animals from brutality and offering them the love which they deserve.

👉Water Bowl Project

Hundreds of street animals and birds die every year due to lack of drinking water.

We started an initiative to place and distribute large and small water bowls in the needed area of the city during the summer season for birds and animals to ensure no homeless animals or birds go thirsty.

👉Action Against Animal Cruelty & Abuse

Whenever We find anyone hurting or abusing a homeless animal, We take legal action under the act Prevention of Cruelty to Animals 1960.

👉Reflective Collars Cum First Aid Drive

Most accidents are caused by the driver’s inability to see the animal at night. Due to this, both human and animal life have to pay a lot of damage & sometimes have to lose their life.

We have come up with an initiative wherein we are wearing reflective collar belts on all highway dogs and cows of Udaipur to reduce the chances of road accidents at night.

Every Sunday, we tie reflective colors made of radium to the homeless dogs and cows living on the highway so that they do not become a victim of any road accident at night along with this we also provide first aid to sick and needy animals and birds.
